Blue Orange Digital is a boutique data & AI consultancy that delivers enterprise-grade results. We design and build modern data platforms, analytics, and ML/AI Agent solutions for mid‑market and enterprise clients across Private Equity, Financial Services, Healthcare, and Retail.
Our teams work with technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, and the broader Microsoft ecosystem to turn messy, real-world data into trustworthy, actionable insight.
We’re a builder‑led, client‑first culture that prizes ownership, clear communication, and shipping high‑impact work.
Note: Please submit your resume in English, as all application materials must be in English for review and consideration.
You have spent the last few years as a Solutions Architect or Sales Engineer at a data platform company. You know the pattern. You run discovery, you map the architecture, you earn the technical win, and then you hand the customer to an SI who builds something you would not have built. Six months later you get the escalation. We are hiring the person who stops doing that.
At Blue Orange Digital, the person who scopes the engagement is the person who stands up the first sprint. You own the client from first call throughproduction, and you carry a number for it.
Own a book of new and existing accounts, carry a services number against it, and forecast it accurately Run technical discovery yourself, without waiting for an engineer to join the call Scope engagements and price them, including the parts of the estimate that will hurt if you get them wrong Write the proposal and the SOW, then defend the scope when the client wants twice the work for the same number Stand up the first sprint on the engagements you sell, hands on the keyboard, before handing to a delivery lead Build reference architectures, demos, and proofs of concept that reflect what we will actually deploy Work our partner channels at Snowflake and Databricks, where co-sell is a real motion and not a logo on a slide Feed what you learn in the field back into our service line definitions and pricing
5 or more years in a client-facing technical role at a data platform, analytics, or AI company, as a Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or technical Account Executive Direct evidence of revenue ownership. You have carried a quota, or you have been the named technical owner on deals you can size and describe Hands-on engineering within the last three years.
You can write SQL and Python, you have shipped pipelines with dbt, Airflow, or an equivalent, and you have debugged something in production at an inconvenient hour Working depth on Snowflake or Databricks, and enough fluency in the other to be useful in a bake-off The ability to hold a room with a CDO and a staff engineer at the same time, and to be credible to both Comfort selling scope and outcomes rather than licenses and features Nice to have Time inside a consultancy, SI, or Big 4 practice, so you have already lived with utilization and margin Experience selling into private equity portfolio companies or a PE value creation team Production work on RAG, agentic systems, or ML platforms that survived contact with real users A partner network at Snowflake or Databricks that you can activate
How we run the process
Screen, 30 minutes
Your number, your deals, and the last thing you built. Specifics, not narrative.
A real client data problem. You scope it, architect it, and tell us what you would build in the first two weeks.
You price the engagement you just scoped and defend the estimate against pushback.
Leadership conversation, 45 minutes
How you work, what you want next, and where this role fits it.
References and offer
We call people who watched you sell and people who watched you build.
Base salary plus variable tied to what you sell and what reaches production A book you actually own, including the PE channel and existing accounts with room to expand Engagements across industries and stacks rather than one platform for the next three years A builder culture where the people closest to the work make the calls Certification support across Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP, and Azure Remote-first, with client travel when the engagement justifies it Blue Orange Digital is an equal opportunity employer.
We evaluate every applicant on what they have built and what they have sold.
